Prof. em. Dr Werner J. Patzelt is known as a controversial political scientist and columnist. He was the founding professor of the Institute of Political Science at the TU Dresden.
A member of the CDU since 1994, previously independent, he maintains a dialogue with representatives of the entire political spectrum, from the Left Party to the AfD, in addition to his academic work. He is also a commentator and analyst of current political events in the press, radio and television.
