Music Festival Radebeul 2024 Concert III with lecture

The music festival centred around the Radebeul violinist Albrecht Menzel invites you to five concerts at historic and unusual venues this summer from 25 August to 8 September 2024 .

At the end of August ,violinist and artistic director Albrecht Menzel willonce again bring together young international artists such as piano virtuoso Joseph Moog, violinist Sascha Maisky and international violin expert Rainer Cocron from the auction house Ingles & Hayday withhis wonderful Stradivarius violin and winner of numerous international competitions, such as the famous Premio Paganini in Italy ,to make music together in his home town .With its third edition, the young festival cordially invites you to a summery, festive atmosphere with a varied programme of music, readings and lectures.

Exclusive violin meeting in the parish hall of the Lutherkirche

Anyone who was unable to get tickets for last year's Stradivari meeting will have the opportunity to experience a musical comparison of violins from three centuries at the afternoon concert on Saturday, 31 August 2024 at 16:oo. Albrecht Menzel has played as a soloist under conductors such as Kurt Masur and Joanna Mallwitz with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Munich Radio Orchestra, was invited by violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter to play with her as a soloist at the Philharmonie Berlin and has toured the world with the artist, for example at Carnegie Hall and the Salzburg Festival. Albrecht Menzel plays virtuoso works by Bach, Paganini, Ernst, Ysaye and Vieuxtemps on the Stradivari Lady Hallè / Ernst and presents entertaining anecdotes from the world of the violin.
