This hike brings you closer to the beauty of the Radebeul vineyards with their diversity of flora and fauna and their benefits. As not only wine grows in the vineyards, but also many useful plants, the combination of wine and herbs is an obvious choice. Even Hildegard von Bingen made herbal elixirs with wine. Hiking strengthens the immune system, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and lowers blood sugar levels. These are all health aspects that are also linked to Hildegard von Bingen's herbal elixirs and the natural lifestyle of naturopath and life reformer Friedrich Eduard Bilz from Radebeul. During the hike, guests taste 4 different grape varieties and several herbal elixirs made from wine and the plants to be viewed, depending on the season, according to Hildegard von Bingen's recipes. You will learn lots of interesting facts about healthy living, wine and various medicinal herbs. You will visit the show and educational centre with its wild flora of the dry vineyards of the Lößnitz in the electoral winery Hoflößnitz. In case of rain and on 01.11.2024 the event will take place in the vault.
