From the earth into the universe
Both beautiful and mysterious, the night sky has been at the centre of campfire stories and ancient myths since the dawn of mankind. Only recently have we begun to understand our place in the cosmos. In "From Earth to Universe" we invite you to take part in the journey of discovering the heavens. Our viewers can revel in the different worlds of the solar system and experience the wildness of the burning sun. We then leave our home and are taken to colourful birthplaces and graveyards of stars. Beyond the Milky Way lies the unimaginable infinity of myriads of galaxies. Along the way, you will learn about the history of astronomy, the invention of the telescope and the current gigantic telescopes that allow us to explore the universe in ever greater depth.
