Final concert in Altkötzschenbroda
Once a year, the doors of the Klosterhof St. Afra in beautiful Meißen on the Elbe open for talented singing students and professional singers. Together with dedicated and experienced teachers, opera singer and vocal pedagogue Lucja Zarzycka devotes herself to each course participant individually. The course follows the old Italian bel canto singing school of Giovanni Battista Lamperti (Vocal Wisdom), whose philosophy is to harmonise the heart, mind and body. The aim of this masterclass is to promote the personal development of artistic potential through detailed and realisable tasks. The extensive programme includes singing lessons, acting, accompaniment, bodywork and meditation. The small-scale programme allows for intensive work with clear results, which are presented and tested at two public concerts.
The results of the course will be presented at two public concerts:
- on Tuesday 6 August in the St. Afra monastery courtyard as the open-air concert with wine sales as part of the Meissen Summer of Culture,
- on Wednesday 7 August in Altkötzschenbroda in Radebeul, in the Luther Hall of the Friedenskirche.
