Closing event My house - My city
In the anniversary year of 100 years of the Radebeul town charter and 100 years of the Kötzschenbroda town charter, the Stadtgalerie is launching an unusual project in February. The basis is formed by pupils' work from the GTA art lessons at the Oberschule Mitte secondary school. Pupils moulded their houses in a ceramics course under the direction of Dresden artist Roswitha Maul. In a process, these are supplemented by further student works on paper, with glass or painted cardboard in workshops under the direction of Mechthild Mansel, Roswitha Maul and Maja Nagel, among others. Pupils will analyse their city, their environment and their living situation. The gallery becomes a laboratory, a workshop of the imagination. Primary and secondary school pupils in Radebeul are cordially invited to take part.
The works can be viewed in the gallery during normal opening hours from 27 February to 10 March. Until then, work will continue in the rooms, as all the artworks are to be created on site. The exhibition starts on 6 February. A finissage on 6 March at 5 p.m. will mark the end of the project.
