The Schloss Proschwitz wine estate is the oldest private wine estate in Saxony. Built between 1701 and 1703, the castle still presents itself today with charm, diversity and a spacious layout. The wines mature in the vineyards of "Schloss Proschwitz", the largest single vineyard in Saxony, and "Kloster Heilig Kreuz" directly above the Elbe. Gentle pressing of the grapes and cool, slow fermentation bring out the fine flavours of the wine particularly well. In the wine cellar, the wines finally receive the finishing touches that allow them to reflect the climate, the soil and the people.
