A gesture says more than a thousand words.

Words have power, but their sphere of influence is limited to the vocabulary of sender and receiver. The language of the body, on the other hand, is universal. Body language is the most authentic form of communication. Facial expressions and gestures express all facets of humanity - regardless of the origin, attitude or intention of the person you are talking to. Everyone speaks them. Everyone understands them. The body speaks volumes - wordless and yet anything but speechless.

The travelling people in particular have perfected the "theatre without words" in order to inspire their audiences across national borders and language barriers or to escape censorship. Streets and squares are their stages. Instead of being far away from the stands and only vaguely recognisable through opera glasses, physical artists need neither stage sets nor text, neither microphones nor props. Street theatre artists only need the power of facial expressions and gestures to put on a spectacle. Always close to the audience, performances become encounters. Inspiration flows in both directions and dissolves the separation between artist and audience. Theatre artists who let their bodies have their say reach their audience with a language that appeals to all the senses and opens up a path into the realm of the unconscious. A language that makes it possible to tell the most exciting stories with the poetic power of the body.

Shaping body language as a form of expression is the art of mime.

Facial expressions, gestures, acrobatics and dance are their repertoire. Masks are elements that conceal one's own face and create another. The mask gives the wearer the opportunity to conquer a whole new dimension of body language. Masks transform the body as a carrier of personality into countless characters. The interplay of facial expressions and gestures allows for a deception that is intentional and has always had an attraction for people. Stories are not only passed on as narratives, but they also experience a vividness through representation that makes them tangible. But every story is only as effective as the imagination and creativity of its creator. The muse is the source of inspiration and a welcome guest. The muse is lavish when she kisses you. She loves all those who turn to her. We invited her and she accepted. There are muse kisses for everyone!
