Wine & Winemaker
The Saxon wine-growing region can look back on a history of over 850 years. With 500 hectares of cultivated vineyards, it is one of the smallest wine-growing regions in Germany, which is why wines from Saxony are still considered a rarity in other regions of the country. The cultural landscape along the Saxon Wine Route, from Pirna via Dresden, Radebeul and Meißen to the Elbe wine villages around Diesbar-Seußlitz, is characterised by impressive slopes and steep vineyards, which are passionately cultivated by hand by the local winegrowers. Powerful, versatile and predominantly dry wines are the result of passionate vineyard work.
