Alexandre de Ligonnès

Alexandre Dupont de Ligonnès cultivates just under 2 hectares in the vineyards of the Königlicher Weinberg zu Wachwitz, am Goldenen Wagen and am Radebeuler Steinrücken, all on terraced steep slopes. His vineyards are cultivated exclusively by hand and close to nature, with very low yields of 15 hectolitres. Synthetic fertilisers and pesticides are completely avoided and fermentation in the cellar is exclusively spontaneous. Alexandre's delightfully playful touch is evident in the ageing process: in wooden barrels, stainless steel, amphorae and clay eggs (which are more like clay garnets), his wines become unique Saxon specimens that captivate with their subtle wildness.
