Fourth law to protect the population in the event of an epidemic situation of national importance enters into force

25.04.2021

This law amended the Federal Infection Protection Act and introduced a nationwide mandatory coronavirus emergency brake. The respective protective measures are now dependent on the value of the 7-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants for three consecutive days. If a district or independent city exceeds an incidence of 100 for three consecutive days, additional measures that are standardised in the law apply from the day after the next.

On Friday, 23 April 2021, the district of Meißen published the incidence values applicable to the district, which are above 100 in each case, and provided information on the protective measures now in force.
