Urban greenery department
The high proportion of greenery in our city, whether in the form of trees, green spaces or vineyards, is a good prerequisite for improving and maintaining the city's climate and its use for recreational purposes.
The area of responsibility of the Urban Greenery Department includes the planning, preparation and supervision of new construction, maintenance and care measures for urban green spaces, children's play and leisure areas, hiking trails, vineyards and woodland areas.
Furthermore, all tasks in connection with the construction, maintenance and care of water bodies of the second order, including flood protection, are the responsibility of the Urban Greenery Department.
Other key tasks relate to the planting and maintenance of street trees, the development and maintenance of the tree register, the enforcement of the city of Radebeul's tree protection statutes and the implementation of compensation and replacement measures.
