Winery Hoflößnitz
Radebeul | Saxony
The Hoflößnitz looks back on 600 years of wine culture. Once the electoral vineyard of the Wettin dynasty, today's foundation complex is still a jewel at the centre of Saxon wine culture. Since 1992, the wines have been produced according to the guidelines of organic viticulture. In addition to the cultivation of classic varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Traminer, experiments are currently also being carried out with the newer varieties Johanniter and Solaris.
The winery's rather sweet mulled wine goes perfectly with Christmas biscuits; the aroma alone is reminiscent of a cosy Christmas bakery. The version with pickled fruit is particularly recommended. As an alcohol-free alternative, there is also children's punch made to the estate's own recipe.
