Thuringian Winery "Sonnenburg" Bad Sulza
Bad Sulza | Saale-Unstrut
The wine-growing region in the federal state of Thuringia (112 hectares in total) is part of the Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region. With 50 hectares of vineyards, the Thuringian vineyard Bad Sulza is the largest private vineyard in the region. Traditional grape varieties typical of the region grow alongside new fungus-resistant varieties on weathered shell limestone and red sandstone soils. 60% of the area is planted with white grape varieties. The wine is matured in modern stainless steel tanks, large wooden barrels and small barriques. Numerous repeated awards for our wines emphasise our high quality standards.
