Big Fat Shakin' - an explosive mix of rock 'n' roll, a show full of energy and a pinch of humour. The band serves up a hefty portion of rockabilly, surf sounds and rock classics, dressed in the charm of the 50s. With a good dose of humour and irony, they invite their audience to dance. For over 18 years, Big Fat Shakin' have been delighting everyone with their varied repertoire - whether they are die-hard rockabilly fans or newcomers. The legs twitch and you can't help but sing along.

A concert by the band is a real highlight. From the evergreens of the 50s to Brian Setzer hits to surprising rockabilly versions of Roxette or the Foo Fighters - no wish is left unfulfilled here. It's the mix that makes it! With their infectious energy, their stage presence and lots of fun, they build a musical bridge between the eras and challenge their audience. This is also evident on their latest album "Woatamakaa" (2019), which contains only their own songs. The album combines rockabilly, soul, rock, 60s beat and punky swing to create a colourful sound experience.

The band not only impresses with its sound, but also with polyphonic vocal parts in which each musician takes on the role of lead singer. In addition, there is a fat double bass, a saxophone, a Gretsch guitar and a vintage drum set - everything a rock 'n' roll heart desires. Since 2008, Big Fat Shakin' have also been the house band at the legendary Clärchens Ballhaus in Berlin, where they regularly create an exuberant atmosphere.
