Motto 2024 "Karl May's dream"

"Karl May's Dream" stands for the "human question", which he describes as the true author of his works. The question of one's own humanity is the most important - timeless and independent of location. It arises on battlefields as well as at desks every day. Its aim is evident in Winnetou and Old Shatterhand on their journey from adversaries to blood brothers.

An entire festival is dedicated to Karl May's dream and his fascination with foreign cultures - the 31st Karl May Festival. Because this dream is not only worth dreaming about, but also worth experiencing - in adventures and encounters in Radebeul's Lößnitzgrund, with friends and strangers on the Peace Trail through the Wild West to the fascinating Orient.
