Tour of Altkötzschenbroda
Visitors sometimes refer to it as the doll's house, while local residents call it the most beautiful village green in Radebeul. And rightly so, because Altkötzschenbroda is a lively place with many facets. Pubs and small shops interact harmoniously with the lovingly designed residential buildings. Their colourful design stands in stark contrast to the fate that was shortly to befall the houses. The historic village centre was left to decay, to be replaced by prefabricated buildings. Now Altkötzschenbroda shines as a small colourful wonder behind the Elbe meadows.
Experience a unique insight into the history of Kötzschenbroda with its historic buildings and courtyards. We walk along the historic village green to the Friedenskirche church, where the treaty ending the 30-year war was signed 350 years ago. We then stroll back to the village green, where we can now admire the north side. We always have a little history and historical notes on hand for the most important and oldest buildings
