Early opening of the Meiereiweg to traffic

The Meiereiweg is scheduled to be opened to traffic next Wednesday, 20 November 2019. The construction work was completed around two weeks ahead of schedule thanks to the speedy working methods of the company carrying out the work.
The measure included the repair of the asphalt pavement on Meiereiweg between Lößnitzgrundstraße and Buchholzweg, including the renewal of the existing pavement to Bilzbad in paving construction. As part of the construction work, the street lighting was renewed, the road drainage system was supplemented and the bicycle parking area at Bilzbad was resurfaced.
The costs of the measure totalled approx. 227,000 euros gross. The construction work was co-financed by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament.
