Turntable ladder vehicle on its way to the Ukrainian twin city of Obukhiv

Today, Monday 14 November 2022, four Ukrainian firefighters set off on their journey home from the Ukrainian twin city of Obukhiv at around 8.45 am. They are taking a turntable ladder vehicle with them. In October 2022, the city council decided not to sell the old turntable ladder vehicle, which had been in the possession of the Radebeul volunteer fire brigade since 1998, but to donate it to the twin town of Obukhiv.
When extended, the turntable ladder can reach a height of 30 metres.
The four Ukrainian firefighters spent a week training on the turntable ladder vehicle in Radebeul and were deeply moved by the gift, which is very much needed in the Obukhiv region.
