Donation from AWO Meißen for Radebeul's twin town

The Workers' Welfare Organisation (AWO), Meißen local association, which is also involved in the "Living Democracy" project, used this year's Open Day to hand over a special donation.
On 26 July 2022, €300.00 was handed over to Ms Heike Thiele, Head of Tourism/City Marketing/City Partnerships, to help the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Members of the AWO had collected the money. It was particularly important to the donors that the donations actually benefit those in need.
After the AWO learnt that Radebeul has a Ukrainian twin town and that refugees from Obukhiv have also been accommodated in Radebeul, it was decided to hand over the donation to Radebeul.
The Radebeul Donations Committee decides on the utilisation of the funds received. The decisions can be read in the council information system (ALLRIS) on the Radebeul website/app and in the Radebeul official gazette.
