Information on the expansion of Augustusweg between Bennostraße and Eduard-Bilz-Straße

The city of Radebeul is planning to upgrade Augustusweg between Bennostraße and Eduard-Bilz-Straße between 20 September and the end of December 2021.
In addition to the fundamental expansion of the road surface using asphalt, the construction work includes the renewal of the road drainage system and the renewal of the pavements. As part of the coordinated road construction project, WAB R+C (Wasser Abwasser Betriebsgesellschaft Radebeul + Coswig GmbH) is renewing the existing combined sewer and the drinking water pipe and its service pipes. Other media carriers such as Stadtwerke Elbtal are renewing or supplementing their pipework.
At the start of the vegetation period in spring 2022, trees will be planted along both sides of the road following the construction work.
WAB R+C is also planning to build or replace the sewers and drinking water pipes in Bennostrasse between Gutenbergstrasse and Bennostrasse no. 41 in the period from 20 September to the end of December 2021.
Both construction measures are being coordinated due to their direct neighbourhood and require the full closure of both sections.
For this reason, extensive alternative routes will be set up for road traffic, including via Maxim-Gorki-Straße and August-Bebel-Straße.
