Construction work on Meißner Straße began last Monday. The construction site between Schillerstraße and Rathenaustraße was fully closed early in the morning and the diversion route was put into operation. During the course of the day, the southern pavement between Hellerstrasse and Louisenstrasse and the paving of the railway track were broken up. The traffic lights at the Meißner Straße/August-Bebel-Straße/Zinzendorfstraße junction were dismantled.
The entire construction site is now secured by construction fences to ensure the safe passage of pedestrian traffic. The northern pavement of Meißner Straße is passable along the construction site. Within the construction area, pedestrians can cross Meißner Straße in the area of August-Bebel-Straße/Zinzendorfstraße. We ask for your understanding that there may be temporary restrictions for pedestrian traffic depending on the construction work.
