The band Balcantare presents Christmas sounds from Argentina, Andalusia, the Balkans and many other countries around the world. The group's powerful three-part vocals are accompanied by guitar, viola, double bass, accordion and percussion, allowing the joy of the festival of love to shine through in many sonic facets. In the second part of the programme, Balcantare enchants with songs from the Balkans. From the fiery, spirited songs of the Sinti and Roma to wistful, plaintive tunes from the Croatian mountains, they create music that goes straight to the heart.
