Single parents or families with at least one child can apply for a subsidy for family holidays via the Diakonie -Stadtmission Dresden - Ev. Beratungsstelle Radebeul. A period of at least 7 days and a maximum of 14 days is subsidised.
The subsidy is dependent on income, whereby child benefit, child supplement and housing benefit do not count as income. The application must be submitted before the start of the trip, but is straightforward. The subsidy is not tied to holiday periods, so families with younger children can also benefit from it.
