Redevelopment area "Centre Radebeul-West" (current)
The focus of Radebeul's urban development strategy is the creation of two functionally and structurally vital town centres, Radebeul-West and Radebeul-East. As a redevelopment area in combination with urban development funding, the East district centre has developed into a lively supply and cultural centre since 2003. The Radebeul-West centre was unable to achieve this development on its own.
Against the backdrop of considerable functional deficits and urban planning deficiencies, the city of Radebeul has therefore declared the redevelopment of the western district centre to be a priority task. The designation of a redevelopment area in this area is intended to help strengthen the western centre. Funds from the urban development programme are to be used to eliminate urban development problems and stimulate private investment.
Consequently, on 16 March 2016, the Radebeul city council adopted >> Resolution no. SR 19/16-14/19 "Statute on the formal designation of the redevelopment area "Centre Radebeul-West" and application for inclusion in the federal-state programme "Active Urban and District Centres" (SOP)" adopted. The statutes came into force on 1 September 2016 with their publication in the official gazette in September 2016.
