Removal/demolition/partial demolition
The demolition or removal of a building or structure is generally exempt from procedures in accordance with Section 61 (3) SächsBO.
For some buildings (building classes 2, 4, 5 and other structures > 10 m), the lower building supervisory authority must be notified of the intended removal at least one month in advance.
Before demolition, you should ask the lower building supervisory authority which building class your building to be demolished falls into and which building documents may need to be submitted with the notification. Furthermore, during demolition it must be ensured that remaining buildings or parts of buildings (especially on neighbouring properties) retain their stability, which must be monitored by a qualified structural engineer.
Note: The exemption from authorisation does not, however, release you from the obligation to comply with the requirements placed on facilities by public law regulations. (e.g. monument protection, redevelopment area)
