The makers of Monopoly Radebeul are keeping their promise! After the White House youth centre and the Meißen/Radebeul music school have already received donations, the Anne Frank School in Radebeul will now benefit from the successful sale of the Monopoly Radebeul game.

Today, at the end of the school year, Raimund Dinglinger & Thomas Rohe handed over the cheque for €5,000 to headmistress Ingrid Stier in the presence of Mayor Bert Wendsche and with the joyful participation of many pupils. (see photo from left)

The Anne Frank School in Radebeul has 70 pupils aged 6 to 18 with special educational needs specialising in intellectual development. The pupils with different support needs are taught in 10 classes. Since this year, two classes of the work level have found their new place of learning at the vocational school centre in Radebeul.

Under the motto "Life - walk and accompany with your feet; feel and grasp with your hands; see and recognise with your eyes; be proud of your knowledge and skills; meet and learn together", the educational team offers a wide range of learning opportunities. In this school, learning means experiencing and understanding life in the truest sense of the word. In addition to the classrooms, which have modern technical equipment, the immediate surroundings in Radebeul (and beyond) become a place of learning.

The aim is to acquire technical and life skills and to strengthen self-esteem in order to create a basis for a self-determined life.

The Anne Frank School Radebeul team is supported by external partners in this endeavour.

This school year, many pupils in the middle, upper and work classes strengthened their reading skills with the "Leseomi" reading promotion programme. Two former teachers regularly practised reading with the pupils. They are very proud of their reading progress.

The topic of "Love, friendship and sexuality" was dealt with in various groups this school year, particularly in the upper and work classes. Workshops were offered in cooperation with AIDS Hilfe Dresden and Mr Paul Berthold. This setting was very well received by the pupils and calls for continuation.

Thanks to the generous donation from credicon GmbH Radebeul as part of the Monopoly Radebeul donation project, the continuation of both projects is assured for the future.

Thomas Rohe & Raimund Dinglinger: "We are delighted that we can also help in an area of special education that is more than worthy of support with this donation".

Five euros per game from the sale of Monopoly Radebeul went into a special pot to enable the above-mentioned social and cultural organisations in our town of Radebeul to share in the success of the game sales. Only a few of the limited edition of 4,000 games are still available for sale.

Monopoly Radebeul is available for 59.50 euros at the Tourist Information Radebeul and from selected partners (see also: www.radebeul-spiel.de).
