Three times one hundred years - 3 reasons to celebrate

The town of Radebeul has yet to celebrate its centenary. But to make time pass more quickly until 2035, when the 100th anniversary of the town's foundation will be celebrated, the 100th anniversary of the town charter can be celebrated twice in 2024. The two municipalities that were to be united eleven years later to form the town of Radebeul were granted town charter in 1924.

The Radebeul town lexicon mentions the following: The then municipality of Radebeul, which had already incorporated the neighbouring village of Serkowitz in 1905, was granted town charter on 5.5.1924. The town's coat of arms, which is still valid today, was adopted by the town council in December 1924. The large municipality of Kötzschenbroda, which by then had already incorporated the villages of Lindenau, Naundorf, Zitzschewig and Niederlößnitz, was also granted town charter in 1924.

So there are already two good reasons to celebrate throughout the year. But as we all know, all good things come in threes. And so, in addition to the two centenaries, there is another centenary to celebrate:
The Viticulture Museum was also opened in 1924. The Hoflößnitz Association, which was founded specifically for this purpose, acquired the property and began renovating the building. Once the wine history collection had been established, the museum was opened at Whitsun 1924, initially as the Oberlößnitz local history museum.
