Demand for the Deutschlandticket in the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO) remains high. The issuing companies have recorded around 40,000 orders to date, of which around 14 per cent are new customers. In the VVO, the ticket is available from Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe (DVB), DB Regio, Regionalverkehr Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge (RVSOE), Regionalbus Oberlausitz (RBO) and Verkehrsgesellschaft Hoyerswerda (VGH). The VVO has summarised all information and the corresponding links at www.vvo-online.de/deutschlandticket.

"The companies are working intensively on processing the current orders," explains Burkhard Ehlen, Managing Director of VVO. "All passengers who ordered their Deutschlandticket for May by 10 April will receive it on time." The companies have agreed a goodwill arrangement for passengers who ordered their ticket later and are still waiting for their chip card. "Passengers can temporarily use their order confirmation to travel by bus and train in the VVO in May," explains Burkhard Ehlen. "The confirmation can be printed out or shown on a mobile phone and is valid as a ticket on the VVO together with your ID, passport or driving licence."

Tickets can be ordered online via the companies' subscription portals. It can also be booked via the DVB mobil and VVO mobil apps. Students can purchase the upgrade to the semester ticket in good time via the new mobile website Ride.
