On Saturday, 10 June 2023, 5 p.m., the exhibition opening will take place at the Bibliothek-Ost, Sidonienstraße 1c:
Silk meets Glass - Summer Dreams by Simone Ghin takes place.
On display are symbols of memories of landscapes and personal experiences. Out of a longing to capture the light, Simone Ghin constructs glass objects and light catchers using abstraction and various materials.
The exhibition can be seen until 23 September 2023 during the library's opening hours.
About Simone Ghin:
grew up on the Lower Rhine and in northern Italy, she discovered her passion for colour, silk and glass at an early age. With her works, she wants to invite the viewer to immerse themselves and linger, but at the same time give them the freedom to make their own discoveries. They are symbols of memories of landscapes and personal experiences, which she develops using abstraction and a wide variety of materials and colour schemes. She constructs glass objects and "light catchers" out of a longing to capture and hold on to light. Visitors are welcome in her studio.
