Cycle tour along the green belt

11.07.2023

  • am Freitag, den 7. Juli wurden die Radler vor ihrem Begleitfahrzeug am Rathaus verabschiedet

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the town twinning between the city of Radebeul and St. Ingbert. A civic festival to mark the occasion was held in St. Ingbert in Saarland in June.

The 33rd anniversary of German reunification will also be celebrated in October this year.

The traditional cycle tour as part of the town twinning programme has taken up the theme with its route.
Seven Radebeul town hall employees, including Lord Mayor Bert Wendsche, and six cyclists from St. Ingbert have set out to cycle a section of the former inner-German border - today the "Green Belt".

The route, which is steeped in history, will provide interesting topics for discussion, as the town twinning was founded in 1988, i.e. while the border fortifications were still active.
