Art goes into gardens

25.06.2023

  • Skulptur im Garten von Irene Wieland, Meißner Straße 57

"The combination of culture and art has a very special appeal," says Alexander Lange, City Gallerist, adding: "In Radebeul, this is combined perfectly. The wonderful gardens provide a great backdrop for the works of our visual artists, more than 60 of whom are currently working in Radebeul." The relatively new "Art in Gardens" format is becoming increasingly popular every year and this year, 23 private gardens and institutions are once again opening their doors to provide art and nature lovers with a special experience, including a number of "new gardens". For example, the gardens of Renate Kern, Cornelia Konheiser and Wolf Dieter Jacobi can be visited for the first time. Wandering musicians will round off the art experience, appearing here and there to play music. In the courtyard of the Stadtgalerie on Saturday there will be action painting with Klaus Liebscher, this time in the colour yellow. Tobias Wolf, who will be offering portrait drawings, and the art machine from the "FARBIG" studio will also be there.

67 artists will be showing their diverse works and styles, including Günther Gläser for the first time, who will surprise visitors with his enamel paintings.
