Achim Heukemes has started the world record attempt

Extreme athlete Achim Heukemes started his world record attempt on the Spitzhaustreppe in Radebeul at 12.00 noon today. He chose a very special day for this challenge - his 72nd birthday. Mayor Bert Wendsche congratulated him and presented the birthday boy with a Radebeul Monopoly.
Heukemes has resolved to walk up and down the Spitzhaus stairs 300 times in 72 hours. He will not take any breaks for food or sleep.
