Twentieth general ruling on segregation published

01.11.2021

The district of Meißen has published the twentieth general ruling on segregation on its website(www.kreis-meissen.de - News - Announcements). It comes into force on 1 November 2021 and replaces the Nineteenth General Decree. It will expire at the end of 28 November 2021.

The main change relates to the expanded definition of a fully vaccinated person. In addition, with regard to the shortened isolation period, it was clarified that the period of five or seven days until the "free test" begins with the last contact with the source case.

The shortened isolation periods applicable to schools within the scope of the School and Daycare Centre Corona Ordinance (SchulKitaCoVO) have been defined separately. However, early termination of isolation, including by means of rapid antigen tests, is only possible there if the facility carries out serial testing (schools). A corresponding restriction has therefore been added in section 6.1.

Recovered and fully vaccinated close contacts still do not have to isolate themselves. Nevertheless, they are obliged to provide the corresponding proof. To emphasise this, a deadline for providing proof was already introduced in the Nineteenth General Decree.

Due to the urgency of the decision on the need for segregation, proof can now also be provided by telephone. To do this, it is necessary for the person to provide credible evidence in a conversation with the health authority that they have been vaccinated. The credibility can be established, for example, by stating the batch number of the vaccine, the person vaccinating or the place of vaccination, etc. However, written proof must be provided in any case. However, written proof must always be submitted subsequently.
