Radebeul Art Prize 2020

04.03.2020

  • Kunstpreis

In 2020, the art prize of the large district town of Radebeul will be awarded again.
The art prize is primarily intended to promote contemporary art. The
Art Prize is awarded to artists or ensembles with a recognised artistic work and impact or to art promoters or organisers with a recognised impact.
The persons or ensembles to be honoured must have their life or creative focus in Radebeul, have had a lasting influence on and promoted the Radebeul art scene or be creators or promoters of works that are of particular artistic significance for Radebeul.
Proposals for the award can be submitted to the Radebeul City Council, Office for Culture, until 16 April 2020 and must be justified as comprehensively as possible.
The proposals are not to be treated publicly or confidentially by the submitters, the city administration and the jury until the jury's decision is publicly announced, which usually takes place four weeks before the award ceremony. This is to prevent any damage to the honour and integrity of the potential art prize winners. All natural persons of legal age and all legal entities are eligible to submit proposals.

The winner of the Art Prize in 2018 was the publisher, author and cultural initiator Jens Kuhbandner.
