Day of urban development 2018
On Saturday, 5 May 2018, the Day of Urban Development took place across Germany for the fourth time in a row. The aim of the day is to familiarise the general public with projects that have been initiated and implemented with urban development funding.
A current example of the successful use of funding in our town is the renovation of the historic Karl-May-Hain and its extension to include a children's playground between Karl-May-Straße and Schildenstraße.
For this reason, the city council invited all interested parties to take a look behind the construction fence at Karl-May-Hain on this year's Urban Development Day. The landscape architects commissioned with the planning and construction supervision gave a guided tour of the site; fountain builders and play equipment builders were also available to answer questions.
