Travel cheaply through the summer holidays by bus and train

The Saxon summer holidays start on 20 June. The Saxon transport associations offer the FerienTicket Sachsen, the perfect ticket for school pupils, trainees and volunteers who are under 21 years old on the first day of their holiday, for trips throughout the state during the holidays.
The FerienTicket Sachsen costs 34.50 euros and is valid for six weeks throughout Saxony and the entire Central German Transport Association (MDV), including Halle and Altenburg. The ticket is valid daily from 20 June to 4 August. Young passengers need a customer card from the transport association or a school ID card. In addition, the name must be on the ticket, as it cannot be passed on to other people. A bicycle can travel almost everywhere free of charge.
