Route Oberlößnitz
On a hike through the Oberlößnitz, Radebeul shows itself from its most beautiful side. Historic winegrowers' houses and sights line the path through the picturesque vineyard landscape. From the valley, you have an impressive view of the "Goldener Wagen" vineyard.
The vineyard road is lined with wineries, romantic wine farms and wine taverns. Numerous winegrowers invite you to themed wine tastings and vineyard tours.
A highlight of the route is the Spitzhaus, a historic vineyard house that now houses a panoramic restaurant. From the sun terrace, the view extends far beyond Radebeul. Right next door is the Bismarck Tower, from whose plateau at the foot of the tower you can relax and enjoy the view. The Spitzhaustreppe staircase leads right through the centre of the vineyard. Since 2005, the Saxon Mt Everest Stair Marathon has been held annually on the staircase with its 397 steps.
The Hoflößnitz Wine Museum is located at the end of the route. There you can learn more about the history of Saxon viticulture and the work of the winegrowers and then enjoy a glass of the exclusively organically grown wine on the wine terrace.
Tip: Combine your hike through Oberlößnitz with a walk along the historic forest route. The Haus Steinbach winery on Bennostraße is well worth a visit. You can enjoy home-grown wines and regional dishes in the romantic three-sided courtyard.
