Two 0-euro note motifs for Radebeul

22.01.2025

The town of Radebeul is expanding its range of souvenirs and is launching two new 0-euro notes. These special collector's items with unique motifs from the town's history are now available from the Tourist Information Centre. One motif shows the Karl May Museum in Radebeul, which not only delights fans of "Winnetou" and "Old Shatterhand", but also honours the history and life of the writer in the region. The second motif is a depiction of the Hoflößnitz, one of Saxony's oldest vineyards, as well as the striking Spitzhaus and the surrounding vineyards, the Spitzhaus staircase and the Bismarck Tower.

0-euro notes: a worldwide collector's item

The 0-euro souvenir notes have enjoyed great international popularity since their introduction in 2015. Originally created by a French company, the banknotes were designed as non-convertible souvenirs to emphasise the tourist identity of cities and sights. Since then, the notes have developed into a coveted collector's item that is available in over 30 countries and is also in increasing demand in Radebeul. The banknotes are not real currency, but serve exclusively as souvenirs. They have a detailed, high-quality design and are provided with security features like real banknotes, including watermarks and holograms. This makes them not only a nice souvenir of a visit, but also an interesting collector's item for enthusiasts and tourists worldwide.

Available at the Tourist Information Centre

Both 0-euro notes are now available at the Tourist Information Centre in Radebeul, Hauptstraße 12. By purchasing the souvenir vouchers, visitors can hold a piece of Radebeul's history in their hands and at the same time appreciate the local culture and architecture in a special way. A special birthday edition with gold-coloured applications is also available.
