Art goes into gardens again on 28/29 June 2025 from 1 to 6 pm
"All beauty is based on the interaction of nature and art. Without art, it cannot take on a lasting form; without nature, its inner life is extinguished."
August Wilhelm von Schlegel
The town of Radebeul owes its beauty, in the spirit of Schlegel, to the aforementioned combination of nature and art.
"Kunst geht in Gärten" invites you to experience this again this year at the beginning of June, which is full of flowers. There are new courtyards and gardens to discover, such as the wonderful garden at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel & Conference Centre, Dresden, the garden at the Naundorfer Heimatstube or the Atelier KunstWerk with the garden behind it, which opens up to Apothekerpark. 23 other gardens and institutions will open their doors to familiarise the public with art and its surroundings. Artists are guests and look forward to entering into a dialogue between their work and the garden culture. Numerous young artists from Radebeul and the surrounding area are taking part. Here, too, visitors can discover new visual languages.
Travelling musicians complement the garden arts. Art events take place at various locations. The Lügenmuseum invites visitors to a video and storytelling garden, Gerlinde Queisser to her garden for an extensive music programme.
The area stretches from Wahnsdorf to Serkowitz, from Naundorf to Radebeul (East). Each garden has its own beauty, its own peculiarities and its own secrets, which the honoured visitors can discover while enjoying music and wine.
We look forward to an eventful and sunny weekend.
