Day of urban development 2015
On 9 May 2015, a nationwide urban development day was held for the first time. Over 570 towns and municipalities throughout Germany used this day, initiated by the Conference of Building Ministers, to provide the general public with information on the tasks, implementation and results of urban development funding. One example of successful urban development in Radebeul is the redesigned station area around the historic station building in the redevelopment area "Zentrum und Dorfkern Radebeul-Ost". As part of a tour of the Radebeul-Ost district centre, a selection of projects was used to illustrate what urban development funding can achieve and what results can be achieved. The tour on Saturday, 9 May 2015, started at 10:30 a.m. on the station forecourt, at the Kultur-Bahnhof, and led to the newly designed village green on Robert-Werner-Platz. The unveiling of an animal surprise awaited all those interested at the sharp corner.
