In principle, extensions or additions to existing buildings require planning permission. A building application must be submitted for this. Additions or extensions also include

- Terrace enclosures
- Porches, e.g. vestibules above a certain size
It is advisable to coordinate the building project with the town planning office in advance. It is also possible to apply in advance for a preliminary decision on the permissibility of the extension under planning law. The staff at the Town Planning and Building Control Office will be happy to advise you on all questions relating to extensions or additions to your building.
