Extension of a conservatory
The addition of a conservatory to an existing residential building is generally subject to authorisation. However, a conservatory can only be designated as such if it does not have a lounge.
The addition of a conservatory to an existing weekend house also requires authorisation. If the weekend house is also located in an outdoor area, such a building project is generally not eligible for authorisation.
Before carrying out such a project, please enquire with the staff at the Town Planning and Building Supervisory Office as to whether or not you are permitted to add a conservatory to your building and whether you require authorisation.
