Commemoration of the socialist and humanist Salvador Allende and the Undidad Popular

On 11 September 1973, the democratically elected President Salvador Allende and the Unidad Popular were overthrown in Chile by Augusto Pinochet with the support of the American secret service, the CIA. The result was a pro-fascist dictatorship that claimed thousands of victims.
In memory and remembrance of Salvador Allende, the Undidad Popular and the victims, a commitment for peace, against war, violence and racism will take place on Saturday, 14 September 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the stele for Salvador Allende on Hörnigplatz.
It is possible to lay flowers and wreaths.
