Submit application for district budget by 31 March 2024

Since 2017, it has been possible for non-commercial, civic initiatives to apply for the so-called neighbourhood budget.

Funding is provided for events that serve to preserve the local area and are free for everyone to attend, the publication of printed matter and the beautification of monuments, squares and streets (not ongoing maintenance). The funding is intended to stimulate and provide stable support for personal initiatives to create a lively living environment in all neighbourhoods.

The budgets amount to €4,000 each for the town centres of Radebeul East (Radebeul, Oberlößnitz) and Radebeul West (Kötzschenbroda, Fürstenhain, Niederlößnitz) and €2,000 each for the other five districts of Radebeul (Lindenau, Naundorf, Serkowitz, Wahnsdorf, Zitzschewig). It is possible to save up these funds over a maximum period of five years and use them to support larger projects.

Applications or reservations for the year 2024 must be submitted by 31 March 2024.

This application should include the following in accordance with the funding guidelines of the city of Radebeul

• Appointment of a person responsible for the project
• Proof/declaration of non-commerciality
• Project description
• Description of the extent to which the project promotes the preservation of local history, customs and neighbourhood beautification
• Presentation of a financing plan including the own resources used (financial or labour)

Important note:

In accordance with the funding guidelines of the city of Radebeul, funding can only be provided if an appropriate own contribution (> 50%) is made or the overall financing of the measure has already been secured elsewhere in advance. The subsidies as such can only make up a small part of the financing. If the measure is an event, the city administration will support the applicant in obtaining the necessary authorisations or will issue them free of charge.

Subsequently, a proof of utilisation (copies of invoices) must be submitted within a period of 3 months without being requested to do so.
