Honour award of the district of Meißen 2024

In December 2008, the Meissen district council decided to establish an honour award for commendable civic engagement in the district of Meissen. Since then, the prize - a Meissen porcelain mug - has been awarded to up to six deserving citizens each year.
The district of Meißen is hereby publicly announcing this award. Prerequisites for the honour are exemplary achievements in the fields of local politics, culture, sport, social or ecological work as well as work with children and young people. The person nominated should be resident in the district of Meißen. Each proposal requires a meaningful justification and must be accompanied by at least ten different signatures.
Proposals can be submitted by clubs, associations, companies, institutions and individuals by 31 March 2024, stating a contact for queries, to
