On Saturday, 4 May 2024 , the ninth nationwide Urban Development Day will take place, on which this year visitors can take a look inside the Old Post Office in Radebeul-West, which is currently under construction.
On the day of the campaign, a guided tour will take visitors inside the historic walls, show the state of the conversion and give an outlook on its future use. The meeting point is on 4 May 2024, 11.00 am in front of the Alte Post, Meißner Straße 285.
The building is currently being converted into a district music school for around 1,200 pupils. They are expected to be able to move into their new home in spring 2025. The district of Meißen is the client of this important construction project, which is being subsidised by the federal government, the state and the city with urban development funds totalling EUR 5.7 million.
