1st International Planetarium Day on 4 May

02.05.2024

We are celebrating 100 years of planetariums, together with all planetariums worldwide. In 1923, a technical innovation was presented at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, from where it spread around the world: the planetarium projector. On 7 May 1925, the first Zeiss Planetarium in the Deutsches Museum went into regular operation. Today there are around 4,000 planetariums worldwide. The artificial starry sky of the Radebeul Planetarium has been delighting visitors since 1969.
Planetariums reveal the secrets of the universe - they are a gateway to space; they inform and inspire by creating audiovisual worlds of experience. Every visit to the planetarium stimulates the imagination like no other venue.

The ticket can be usedfor all events within the framework of the "1th International Planetarium Day - kick-off event for the 100th anniversary of the planetarium". Nevertheless, we ask you to make a reservation for each event on 4 May 2024.
