On Friday, 31 March 2023, two fluttering elms were planted below the former pulp mill on the Coswig/Radebeul city boundary.

The two Lord Mayors Bert Wendsche (Radebeul) and Thomas Schubert (Coswig) lent a helping hand in the presence of representatives of the respective town councils.

The large district town of Coswig had encouraged all towns and municipalities along the Elbe to create a Green Belt. Two local welcome trees were to be planted at the border points between all neighbouring municipalities.

Radebeul is already in talks with the city of Dresden to continue the "green belt" in this direction.
