Travel cheaply through the summer holidays by bus and train

The summer holidays start on 8 July. Saxony's transport associations offer the FerienTicket Sachsen, the perfect ticket for schoolchildren and trainees up to their 21st birthday, for tours throughout the state during the holidays.
The FerienTicket Sachsen costs 34.50 euros and is valid for six weeks throughout Saxony and the entire Central German Transport Association (MDV), including Halle and Altenburg. The ticket is valid daily from 8 July to 20 August. Young passengers need a customer card from the transport association or a school ID card. In addition, the name must be on the ticket as it cannot be passed on to another person. A bicycle can travel almost everywhere free of charge.
